caza feliz: día diecinueve — actividades extracurriculares
Forget art club or choir. This year Violet’s after-school activities are Circus and Cooking. Twice a week she gets an hour of clowning, plate spinning, juggling, swinging on the trapeze, or climbing arial silks. Then she gets to run across the playground to the lunch room to practice cooking and baking. The clubs are run by some lovely school madres who seem completely tranquila about the chaos.
The Cocina maestra even let Graham join in the gingerbread baking/decorating lesson. (One less thing for me to do.)
